Are you a Chartered Project Engineer or someone looking to progress down that path and looking to take a step up in your career by moving into the booming Renewable Energy industry where you can get involved on multimillion pound projects providing vital utilities to the West London area?

This company has a significant presence in the local area and is responsible for delivering key utilities to domestic/residential and commercial premises, namely through several Combined Heat-Power plants. They have recently established their 2nd key site in the Woking area and have plans to develop and supply energy to over 1000 new properties in the area over the next 7 years.

In this role you will be responsible for cradle-to-grave project engineering covering everything from supporting early project design and scoping through to contractor management and overseeing commissioning. Projects will typically focus on plant replacements/upgrades for Heat, Power & Chilled Water generation and distribution, as well as network extensions and new customer connections.

The ideal candidate will be Chartered as an engineer (or will be working towards Chartership) and will have experience as a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer for large-scale mechanical projects covering things such as industrial boilers, commercial pumps, valves, motors, generators, chilled water systems, LTHW systems, HVAC or building services.

The role:
* Liaising with internal M&E design team as well as external consultants during early project design and scoping
* Clarifying project briefs, creating cost plans and specifications for build
* Assessing tenders, appointing contractors and then managing them throughout project delivery
* Ensuring design compliance throughout project delivery
* Reporting on project progress and ensuring works are carried out in line with time and budget requirements
* Witnessing project commissioning and supporting handover to O&M team including O&M manual reviews, snags
* Supervising and overseeing work of Graduate Project Engineer, and assisting in their personal development

The person:
* Chartered in Engineering or working towards Chartership
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a project engineering/project management role
* Educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Experience in HVAC, Building Services, Heating, Cooling, Pumps, Motors, Power Generation or similar discipline
* Full UK driving license
