We have a new opportunity for an Energy & Process Project Engineer to join our client based in Newton Aycliffe.

This is a 24-month contract with an attractive salary on offer working for a leading global Chemical Manufacturing Company.

Responsibilities:

Agree solutions to meet the project goals identified with project sponsors for capital or selected revenue projects
Prepare flow sheets, equipment specifications and instrumentation requirements
Influence and advise to ensure any project decisions best meet the required business goals
Participate or lead project goal deliberations
Support in reviewing potential hazards to environment, health and safety for any modifications
Prepare detailed specifications for procurement of equipment
Devise control strategy and liaise with software suppliers and EC&I engineers for required modifications to plant control systems
Liaise with external engineering contractors for development of piping and construction drawings
Participate or lead team in the commissioning of new equipment for smooth start-up
Train and instruct process personnel in safe operation and use of new equipment
Requirements:

Degree level Chemical/Process Engineering
Experience in a project or manufacturing based role within the energy or chemicals industry
Good knowledge of utilities systems including water treatment, boilers, compressors and
Familiar with energy monitoring, reporting and metrics
Knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA and SIL determination
Good communication skills, able to gain cooperation at all levels within the organisation
