We'll cover this during the assessment process.What you'll be doingAs the Principal Engineer - Water Non-Infrastructure, you'll direct a team of circa. 10 Engineers, for projects relating to our water treatment and related assets to ensure that they are delivered to Thames Water's high standards with regard to health and safety, time, quality, and cost.The Principal Engineer - Water Non-Infrastructure provides the expertise needed to:
- Provide design sign-off between Asset Management and Capital Delivery as the delivery stream dictates
- Provide Technical assurance during the delivery, commissioning, and hand over of assets
- Drive the advancement of their engineering discipline
- Input to and continuously improve Technical Asset Standards
- Ensure and deliver the Engineering Regulatory compliance on relevant assets
- Providing the technical input into de-risking Project Briefs to maximise value
- Providing the technical sign-off and assurance during technical delivery including handover
- Ensuring we are compliant with Engineering based regulatory requirements
- Supporting the establishment of a cohesive, sustainable Engineering structure from graduate to industry experts that takes Thames Water's Engineering into AMP8 and beyond
- Be a recognised leader in Engineering with considerable experience in the water industry
- Have a strong understanding of the regulatory environment to achieve compliance with our Engineering requirements
- Possess excellent leadership and communication skills both internally and externally
- Possess the ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate
- Budget management experience
- Be educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and with professional chartership
- A passion for continuous professional development and a dynamic approach to driving diversity within Engineering at Thames Water
