Senior Civil Engineer Drainage

Dandara Wales & West requires a Senior Engineer to work in a busy technical department based Cardiff.

The role will principally include:

• Checking designer information
• Coordination of engineering sub-contractor details
• Management of advisory consultants and adoption engineers
• Assisting with the discharge of Planning, Building Control, and Warranty conditions
• Providing engineering support to our site, sales, customer care, and commercial teams.
• Liaising with local authorities on road adoptions and planning permissions
• Designing the structure of drainage systems for new housing developments.

The successful candidate will be :

• Experienced in the coordination of residential projects eg highways, drainage, utilities, site adoptions, and other engineering/technical related matters
• Civil Engineering-related qualification i.e. Degree, HND or HNC.
• Sound knowledge of Local Highway Authority Standards, NHBC Standards, Planning Policy Guidelines, and Sewers for Adoption.
• Sound knowledge of processing S104, S185, S38 / 278 Agreements
• Sound knowledge of geotechnical/environmental and structural disciplines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, management/leadership skills,
• Experience in liaising with authorities and utility providers before, during and post-construction.
• The ability to act independently including programming and planning is essential.
