Visiting Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering

 

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western New England University seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2022-2023 academic year, with potential for longer-term renewal or tenure-track position. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to teach core undergraduate and graduate Civil and Environmental engineering courses; pursue scholarly and funded research activities; provide professional and community service as well as student advising. Experience with experimental techniques is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • College-level teaching experience (graduate TA experience acceptable) or professional experience in a relevant field. Expertise in structural engineering and/or geotechnical engineering. Effective teaching and pedagogy skills appropriate to the position. Licensure as a professional engineer (P.E.) or commitment to obtaining licensure when eligible.
