Vertical Recruitment are working closely with an independent, award-winning consultancy. Due to an increased demand in their services, they are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join their Manchester office. Our client delivers cutting edge design solutions to a wide variety of clients from a network of UK offices. In Manchester they have an excellent reputation, known for the successful delivery of major landmark regeneration schemes across the city, involving a range of high-rise towers. Now due to continued growth the team in Manchester can offer an excellent opportunity to a Principal Structural Engineer.
Working closely with Directors, the Principal Engineer will contribute to the operational delivery of projects, the management of client relationships and the management of a team, developing their own skills in these areas with a view to taking on a fuller managerial role in due course.
What you'll be doing
* Finding design solutions and leading on projects that breathe new life and value into communities. Specifically leading on a large well-known office/ commercial design which will leave a lasting legacy in the city of Manchester.
* Being a mentor and providing technical guidance and support to the team when required.
What we need from you
* Chartered engineer status with ISTRUCTE/ICE or equivalent
* Experience with Tekla or equivalent would be advantageous
* Someone who takes pride in their work and supports their team
