A Geotechnical Engineer is required to join an engineering consultancy working in Bristol. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance, undertaking site visits, surveys and inspections associated with geotechnical works, designing, procuring and evaluating geotechnical investigations for preparing ground models, preparing geotechnical designs, reports and specifications for a wide range of different projects, and assisting in the preparation of risk assessment and method statements for investigation and design whilst ensuring that these are in accordance with CDM regulations.

The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level in the relevant geosciences or engineering degree (such as Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology etc.) or equivalent, as well as having a goof working knowledge of relevant UK codes of practice, regulation and industry guidance and being proficient in geotechnical investigation, ground model preparation and evaluation, with working knowledge on design and analysis software. The successful candidate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, be determined to learn, have the ability to plan and manage personal effectiveness (and contribute to the teams effectiveness), and have a full UK driving licence.
