OLG has a great opportunity for a Structural / Civil Engineer for a client located in Hull / Immingham, Job brief as follows:
Overview
The role will require client facing skills and site visits during design and construction, excellent design skills and the ability to see safety and quality assurance as integral to the engineering process. You should be comfortable switching from conceptual design to detail design depending on the scope of work.
A background in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Nuclear or other industrial sectors would be ideal, however, someone from a more traditional consultancy background with significant experience in structural steelwork, foundation design and an interface with mechanical equipment would also thrive in this environment.

Software:
StaadPro
Tekla Structural Designer
Tekla Tedds or MathCAD
Standards & Codes of Practice:
Thorough knowledge of Eurocodes; 1990 - 1999
Working knowledge of BS5950 & BS8110 for historic structures
Working knowledge of AISC 360-16 is advantageous but not essential
Personal:
Ability to provide best value solutions to complex engineering problems in a multidiscipline environment
Thrive on working within a team environment and be able to do this remotely using digital platforms when required.
Be able to balance more than one project at a time and deliver on commitments
Comfortable with 3D modelling environments
Academic:
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Chartered or working towards CEng with either IStructE or ICE
Experience:
4/5 years post graduate experience is desirable, but ability is more important
