Geo-technical Design consultancy and Contractor
£25,000 + benefits
Full Time / Permanent position
A Graduate Geologist / Geo-technical Engineer is required to join a geo-technical design consultancy and contractor working across Britain (mostly in Scotland with some work in South England). You will be responsible for desk studies for linear infrastructure projects, site reconnaissance and geomorphological mapping and structural assessments, ground investigation supervision (including logging/sampling), and ground model assessment and analysis. You will also be responsible for geo-technical parameter development for foundation design, report writing, data analysis, processing and production of mapping as well as project planning, cost proposal and preparation and business development.
The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level in the relevant geo-sciences degree (such as Geo-technical Engineering, Geology, Geo-sciences etc.) or equivalent, as well as being familiar with AutoCAD and GIS, having problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication and having an interest in developing both technical and project management skills. The successful candidate must also have a full UK driving licence.
The client is a large national, reputable and firmly established design consultancy and contractor and with a portfolio across a number of sectors, including Engineering, Geo-technical and Overhead Line Design, they have an exceptional reputation within their client base, and project portfolio.
