Sales Engineer - Renewable EnergyWe design, supply and install heat pump systems and other supporting technologies such as solar PV, battery storage solutions, underfloor heating, MVHR and cooling.
We are now seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking Sales Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. The right candidate will drive sales for both new installation and refurbishment projects. You will be working on a variety of projects, both domestic and commercial, in all aspects of renewable energy.
Responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for growth and development of company sales, reporting to the Area Manager.
The main duties are likely to be focused around:
Customer sales, both commercial and domestic
Carrying out site visits to assess feasibility and establish property heat losses
Providing quotes for customers, in conjunction with the company design department if complex
Building customer relationships
Advising on the integration of renewable technologies with other building services
Contributing to decision making of project product specification/company product specification
Your overall responsibilities will encompass:
Specification in co-operation with our design department of renewable energy systems, optimal solutions for commercial and domestic project
Large commercial projects, in conjunction with design department, assist in the management e.g. attending initial site meetings and planning installation programmes
Liaise with new and existing clients and assist with the development of client relationships
Contribute to the development of all company processes e.g. design guidelines, project planning processes
Familiarity/compliance with RECC, MCS, and BUS
Requirement:
Renewable experience or technical sales background
Other useful experiences/skills:
Domestic Energy Assessment qualifications
Good communication and presentation skills
Good IT capability
Strong customer focus
Good organizational skills
Capability of being a good team player who also has the ability to work under their own initiative
Ability to work well under pressure
Current, full driving license - must have own car
Good project management skills, specification and report writing
Good understanding of current legislation e.g. Building Regulations and other standards
