Structural Engineer

I will keep this job description short and sweet - It's not simple to get exposure to one-of-a-kind, award-winning engineering in the public, private, and educational sectors. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Structural Engineer to work on the conservation of some of Edinburgh's most renowned old buildings as well as the design of modern constructions.

As a Structural Engineer will join a small design company of ten problem-solving engineers in central Edinburgh, about 15 minutes from Princes Street. The Structural Engineer will have the creative freedom to shape the design process and, on occasion, lead projects.

The ideal Structural candidate will be a problem solver with a real interest in historic building design and conservation. The Structural Engineer will be able to work independently, manage their own workloads, and collaborate with other engineers in the office. Although you will report directly to the two directors, all employees of the office are happy to offer help and guidance.

While working from home is a possibility, the two directors prefer to be hands-on, believing that this fosters a close-knit design office environment.
