Principal Structural Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Principal Structural Engineer for our client based in South Manchester.

Our client delivers engineering solutions across all market sectors. They refurbish, redevelop, and design new builds and have a portfolio of interesting projects including listed bars, stunning unique residential homes, high end residential super homes and have now taken on a £300-million-pound flagship re-development.

They are looking for a talented engineer to join their excellent team who is looking for their next challenge. The role involves managing a project and team of engineers; therefore, the role would be perfect for a confident engineer, who is technically strong and preferably has project management experience.

They are looking for:

Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or similar
Pro-active in engaging with project team members
Confident in checking other employee designs and singing them off
A confident individual who is happy to take the lead on projects
Chartership with either the ICE or IStructE
Technically strong in design, with a background in structural steel design
Experience liaising with clients and other parties to build professional relationships
Ability to guide and mentor teamsThe right candidate can expect a salary of £55,000 to £60,000 and a monthly bonus. The role will mainly be based from their offices in South Manchester, however flexible working options are available. The company also holds regular socials for their employees
