We are working with a newly established and thriving engineering consultancy specialising in civil, structural and highways design. Their growing workload means they are now looking to appoint a Senior/Associate Civil Engineer to join to join the highly experienced team in their Berkhamsted office on a full time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work predominantly on industrial projects throughout the UK although in addition to this there will also be the opportunity to work on some residential and commercial projects. Ideally they require an engineer who is keen to do design and drawing work for some of the time.

Responsibilities:

Design of civil engineering schemes associated with large developments throughout the UK,
Client management including attendance at client and design team meetings,
Recognised point of contact for clients on projects,
Managing junior staff delivering infrastructure schemes,
Mentoring junior staff and supporting their training and development,
Input into financial control of projects, contributing to fee proposals and invoicing. Requirements:

A degree in civil engineering,
A Chartered engineer within a relevant institution (MIStructE or MICE),
A minimum of 5 years' post graduate experience,
Competent user of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTrack and (ideally but not essential) Microdrainage/Causeway,
Flow Experience of highway/drainage design associated with S278, S38, S104 agreements,
Good communication and people skills,
Ability to work well as part of a team,
Experience of working with developers/contractors.
