About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer preferably with water industry experience, who is excited by finding the best solution to a problem and can work with other people to get there. Best means balanced - innovation vs traditional; cost vs risk; what to build now vs what to build later.
Youll work alongside project managers and multidisciplinary design engineers in the Water Treatment Design team. You will have a unique opportunity to get involved in a wide range of ambitious and innovative programmes of works covering borehole capital maintenance, disinfections, chemical dosing, turbidity treatments, ceramic membranes and resilience of some of our major water treatment works.
In this role you will provide electrical design of technical solutions and you will undertake surveys/ feasibility evaluation/assessment for projects and create designs & specifications for AMP7, AMP8 and beyond. Youll play a part in our exciting journey through design standardisation and ensuring electrical design work meets the standards for best in-class solutions. You will come up with innovative design solutions to support the delivery of our projects & you will need to think about the wider context of our changing environment, climate change pledge and carbon commitments.
Key responsibilities include
To perform this role at your best ideally you`ll have a experience in electrical design of Water and/or Waste treatment works. It would be an asset if you are coming from water industry, and you have experience in Pump starter/MCC design/specification water, wastewater and sludge treatment and process technology.
It`s critical for us that youll come equipped with confident communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills as you`ll need to liaise with the stakeholders and build relationships and influence at mid and senior leadership levels.
About you:
We are offering a6 monthcontract starting ASAP with an excellent pay rate of£500-£600per Day (inside IR35) Based on Experience.
Location: Derby Raynesway/Coventry Finham/Hybrid

- MV/LV distribution design
- DNO supply agreement negotiation experience.
- ICA Design
- SCADA/RTU design
- STW ME/WIMES familiarity
- PEA Potentially Explosive Atmosphere design
- Stand by power generation design/specification
- Power distribution resilience
