Principal Structural Engineer who has previous management / team leadership skills with experience managing structural engineering projects, budgets, schedules and stakeholders is required for a well-established innovative and client focussed Civil and Structural Engineering Firm based near Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineerwho has previous management / team leadership skills with experience managing structural engineering projects, budgets, schedules and stakeholders.

Working as the Principal Structural Engineer you will head the multiple and varied projects the business will need to deliver. This will involve:

• Leading a team on structural engineering projects

• Undertaking detailed design, production of specifications and schedules

• Undertaking condition surveys and reports

• Controlling the financial management of projects under your control

Founded in 2009, the company has a history of providing design and survey services to the power stations as well as design services to various fabricators and other clients.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Principal Structural Engineer you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• You will be a Chartered Engineer / CEng

• Team management / leadership experience

• Experience managing budgets, stakeholders and project schedules

• Experience in Eurocodes and British Standards

• Working knowledge of Structural analysis software including FEA

• An understanding of BIM and collaborative working processes

• A broad experience in various construction sectors and materials
