Construction Engineer - Great Yarmouth

Our client a EPC company is looking for a Construction Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in their office in Great Yarmouth with occasional visits to the Hewett Assets offshore and onshore (Bacton Terminal). The role is offered with a day rate through PAYE on a hourly rate inside IR35 & are looking for someone to start ASAP.

The role is support Eni HDMP delivery team lead and provide home office construction support to Eni's Hewett field decommissioning facilities making safe and platform decommissioning activities. Occasional visits to the Hewett Assets offshore and offshore (Bacton terminal) to act as companies representatives during the execution of key work scopes (e.g. W2W campaign) may be required.

Responsibilities -

• Planning and timely delivery of offshore construction execution in an offshore brownfield environment.
• Acting as primary interface with contractor construction teams and other specialist vendors.
• Proving input into and participation in project reviews such as constructability reviews, Lay out reviews, SIMOP reviews, HAZIDs & TBRA during detailed design and engineering.
• Carrying out review of construction engineering and offshore execution manhours estimates.
• Providing guidance to contractor in the system completion activities, certification ( inspection & testing) of construction activities and close out work packs.
• Working closely with an integrated decommissioning and asset operation teams to assure continual alignment with the Eni Hewett decommissioning project strategy and business objectives.
• Providing effective safety leadership in ensuring that all project HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded, in the scoping planning and execution of de - commissioning activities.
• Carrying out of participating in reviews of contractors offshore construction execution plans and schedules.
• Review of construction deliverables including scopes of work and construction work packs, methods statements for decommissioning activities.

Experience & qualifications -

• Degree in Engineering or science discipline preferred

• Experience and knowledge of construction activities associated with the decommissioning of Offshore Oil & Gas Facilities - Facilities Making Safe (Engineering Down & Clean) and Platform Removal Preparation Scopes of Work.

• Experience and knowledge of the planning and timely delivery of offshore construction execution in an offshore brownfield environment.

• Experience of acting as primary interface with contractor construction teams and other specialist vendors.

• Experience of providing input into and participation in project reviews such as constructability reviews, Lay-out reviews, SIMOP reviews, HAZIDs & TBRA during detailed design and engineering.
