Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit a Civil Engineer [Drainage/Infrastructure] with 3+ years of post-graduate experience to join their team in Plymouth. You will be nearing professionally qualified or have obtained incorporated or equivalent professional institution status.

You will be working toward chartership of ICE / IHE or similar and will be responsible for the preparation, issue, and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements of the Company. You will also be responsible for the technical, financial, and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager, and to maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.

This is a great opportunity for a near Chartered Civil Engineer to join a successful, well established Civil and Structural Design Consultancy based out of our client's new Plymouth Office. You will join a busy and expanding team in working on a variety of engineering projects including retail, housing, leisure, and commercial builds, within an up-and-coming friendly team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate good development of knowledge in civil engineering and development infrastructure.
Have awareness of construction contracts and terms of appointment.
Have the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, local authorities and highways officers.
Be fully conversant with sectional agreements such as S38, S278, etc.
Have awareness of business development activities and be responsible for the preparation, issue and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements.
To have limited responsibility for technical, financial and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by your line manager.
To maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.

Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
3+ years of post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on drainage and infrastructure.
Nearing professionally qualified status.
Full clean driving license.
