Environmental Test Engineer
Based in Uxbridge
Up to £40,000 basic salary
A well-established Aerospace company continues to secure orders for their world leading product.
To meet these orders, their R&D department are at full stretch in producing innovative working prototypes which are required to be assessed through an exhaustive environmental performance assessment.
To undertake these assessments, an experienced Environmental Test Engineer is needed. Strong Graduates with a work placement will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce detailed, precise and technical documentation to describe the test procedure to be enacted, criteria against which success is measured and requirements being met.
Conduct prototype Analysis & Testing both on site and at external test facilities.
Prepare and issue Flash and full Test Reports for review by customers.
Evaluate post test data and develop reports which will determine future R&D.
Prepare Test Procedure and schedules.
Experience/Skills required:
Relevant qualification e.g. degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Aerospace / Electronics / Engineering
Experience conducting successful environmental tests, producing reports and analysing technical data.
Knowledge of Test and Measurement Instrumentation and signal processing & analysis
Familiarity of military and civilian test standards
Ability to present a technical argument and support it with engineering understanding and produce concise and focussed reports
Environmental Test covers a broad spectrum of areas (for example pyro) so candidates need to be willing to pick up new skills
