Graduate Civil Engineer

My client is looking for a graduate civil engineer to join the team in Kent.
Requirements: Civil engineering degree or related subject (Ideally 2:1 or higher).
The Role -
Responsible for Drainage, structural and civil design works
Reports to Divisional Manager, Principal Engineer (Structures), Senior Drainage Engineer, (WSS)
·To assist the Principal Engineer (structures) and Drainage/Civil/Structural Engineers in carrying out calculations and analysis on a wide range of projects using design/calculation software.
·To assist investigation into the possible application of new materials, processes, and technologies in relation to the works carried out by WSS.
·To assist in providing temporary works design.
·To provide CAD drawings for all design disciplines as required, mainly drainage but with requirement to work on civil, structural, and architectural elements.
·Assistance with RC detailing (training will be provided to aid this element of the role).
·Design co-ordination: liaising with our internal design team and external consultants/suppliers to ensure the design process is kept up maintained to the high standards of the company and codes of practice are followed.
·Ensure all timescales, financial targets and design goals are achieved.
·To understand, operate and adhere to the divisional procedure's manual.
·To assist in preparation of documents, reports and liaise with clients as stipulated under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
·The employee is expected to work towards membership with the ICE and support will be given for this.
·The role is far reaching and will require flexible working in a hands-on approach.
