Job Details

Position Summary

Oversees and performs review of development projects. Creates, updates and maintains engineering and construction standards and policies for development. Collaborates with the public and consulting engineers. Responds to requests for information in a timely manner. Ensures that requirements identified during land division are implemented during construction. Provides technical support for inspectors. Reviews complex plans and specifications requiring the application of advanced engineering knowledge. Reviews development design calculations and computer analysis. Maintains electronic file inventories. Reviews building permit applications for compliance with City codes and standards. Reviews annexation requests and addresses infrastructure issues with appropriate personnel. Prepares and/or reviews legal descriptions and maps for proposed annexations. Monitors contractor and consultant work and administers contracts. Coordinates and collaborates with internal and external customers.

 

Qualification Requirements

   Development Review Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Four (4) years of relevant professional Civil Engineering experience including project design and construction management.
  • Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer. Must obtain registration as a Professional Engineer in WA State within one (1) year of hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid and active driver license and maintain throughout employment.

   Development Review Engineer – Senior

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant professional Civil Engineering experience including project design and construction management.
  • Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer. Must obtain registration as a Professional Engineer in WA State within one (1) year of hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must possess a valid and active driver license and maintain throughout employment.
