The position is a member of Project Team 2 in the Project Design and Delivery (PDD) branch of the department. We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team to advance our mission of protecting life, property, and the environment from the effects of flooding, erosion, and water pollution. The work of this design team includes sponsoring large Capital Improvement Program projects and smaller in-house projects to reduce the risk of flooding and erosion and protect water quality in our creeks, with a focus on localized flooding and improvements to storm drain systems.
This position is responsible for performing feasibility studies to assess potential solutions to drainage issues, identifying and implementing small-scale mitigation solutions, developing Hydrologic and Hydraulic models, conducting technical reviews, and assisting other engineering staff with the final design and construction phases of the Capital Improvement Program (CIPs) projects and in-house projects. This position may also assist with efforts to identify and prioritize potential projects and activities for the division.
