Job Details

The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for up to (6) academic professional track (non-tenure), full or part time faculty positions with a 9-month academic appointment and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning January 1, 2023. The successful applicants will teach and mentor students; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Applicants should consult the department's website to review our academic and research programs (engineering.tamu.edu/civil).

Qualifications

  • For appointments at Associate Professor of the Practice, Professor of the Practice, Visiting Associate Professor of the Practice or Visiting Professor of the Practice level, applicants are required to have, at the minimum, an earned master's level degree or at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline for professor of practice level titles. Alternatively, applicants with a bachelor's degree and significant professional experience will meet minimum requirements.
  • For appointments at Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor level, applicants are required to have a masters or doctoral degree, preferred to be in a closely related engineering or science discipline.
  • For appointments at the Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, and Visiting Professor level, applicants are required to have a doctoral degree, preferred to be in a closely related engineering or science discipline.
