Water and Sewer Engineer

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Water and Sewer Engineer for the  Facilities Management department This is a full-time, permanent staff position.

This position will give you lots of exposure to all aspects of water and sewer engineering. While modeling will be the majority of your duties, you will also get out in the field and get to work on other aspects of engineering. But don't let the job description fool you. With few exceptions, this is only a 40-hour-a-week job. You will still have lots of time for a life outside of work.

 

The Water and Sewer Engineer will be responsible for managing the campus water and sanitary sewer models, evaluating changes to the campus water and sewer systems, managing the monitoring of these systems, and reviewing proposed changes to these systems. This person will also be the subject matter expert on regulatory requirements for these systems. This person will report to and assist the Water Resources Manager with various other tasks associated with the water and sewer systems on campus.

 

Salary: $68,103 - $83,237

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in the engineering discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience Some positions may require licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in the engineering discipline related to the area of assignment and four years of engineering experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Some positions may require licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
