The position is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate engineer to join the team to assist in the delivery of our planned increasing workload. Working within our practice will see you apply your engineering skillset on projects that span across many sectors of the construction industry. Our projects range from new-build housing developments, healthcare, education, transport, and defence to bespoke dwellings and town planning, all across the UK.
We are involved from concept through to construction; we influence design to provide our clients with excellent solutions. With the support of senior staff, you will develop your knowledge and skills in the design of buildings based on sound engineering theory, using analysis software including Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer and Robot Structural Analysis. You will also be involved in the development of engineering drawings using AutoCAD and possibly Revit and/or Tekla Structural Designer.
We aim to provide our clients with a service that goes above and beyond just design; we consider the construction and maintenance of developments too. Key Responsibilities:
Developing engineering solutions with the support and guidance of our senior team
Developing and producing scheme designs in many materials (steel, masonry, timber, concrete, and light gauge steel)
Developing the detailed design of specific aspects of projects
Influence structural strategies for permanent and temporary works
Attending client meetings with colleagues
Assisting in the production of our drawing packages using Revit, Autocad, and TSD
Pursuing Continuing Professional Development with our support
Pursuing chartership through the ICE or IStructE with our support
Becoming a central figure within our growing practice at this exciting time Essential skills required:
Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent degree Must be ambitious, seeking to develop a thriving career in engineering
Must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Must be a great problem solver and be able to think outside the box and not be afraid to go beyond the codes Salary, benefits & location
£18,000-£22,000 depending on experience

Based at the York office, with remote working possible
