We have a new opportunity for a Structural Engineering Manager to join our client based in Sunderland.

You will provide technical leadership, guidance, and governance of the Structural Design Team and ensure all designs meet the highest standards.

This is a permanent role with an attractive salary and benefits package on offer working for a Company with over 25 years' experience providing operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions.

Responsibilities:

Provide management to structural engineers
Monitor department performance using agreed KPI's
Maintain and manage designs and processes that are compliant with current industry standards
Monitor and enforce the structural engineering design process
Accountable for ensuring all structural engineering is delivered in line with project budget, scope, and schedule
Collaborate with the project team in design reviews
Develop engineering scope from quotations and customer specifications Requirements:

Chartered in Civil or Structural Engineering
Considerable experience in a technical role with experience designing steel structures
Experience in Engineering Management position
Experience of Eurocodes and British Standards relating to structural design
Assertive sound decision maker with an ability to solve problems rapidly
Proficient with STAAD and knowledge of Tekla software packages
