Mechanical Water Treatment Engineer
Monday to Friday
40 Hours PW
26 days holiday not including Bank Holiday
Overtime paid at x1.5 or x2.0
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will work as part of the Facilities Team, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the production dependant wastewater treatment plant for the 24/7/365 manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will have experience of effluent and wastewater treatment processes, as well as a technical (M&E) background and a willingness to work a call out system. A multi-skilled background would be advantageous.
Key Tasks
Carrying out plant-related routine duties to ensure plant performance, availability and reliability is maintained to a high level
Application of safe systems of work
Plant & control system first line fault diagnosis and reporting
Application of operational, maintenance and safety systems and documentation for the plant incorporating relevant company standards
Assisting on projects and outage preparation
General operation and maintenance of plant
Routine testing in accordance with environmental permit limits
Responsibility for following site documentation, procedures and assisting with the review of the documents
Liaising with internal and external customers
Maintain professional attitude, an appropriate level of communication and courteous behaviour to all colleagues, host site personnel, contractors, and visitors
To follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company HandbookSkills (D = Desirable E= Essential)
Routine preventative maintenance. (E)
Problem solving. (E)
Effluent Plant experience (D)
IOSH or similar safety qualification (D)Knowledge
Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems.
Knowledge of compressed air systems.Experience
