I am looking to recruit a Principal Civil Engineer for a client in central Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a blue-chip global consultancy with a diverse portfolio of projects for clients such as HS2, Transport for London and Network rail.
You would be involved in managing the delivery of multidisciplinary projects and maintaining client relationships. Alongside producing your own designs and mentoring and supporting more junior team members.
There are opportunities available to provide a wide variety of both technical, management and business functions with strong career development and advancement opportunities. There are also opportunities to engage, input into and lead business initiatives.
They are looking for:
Experience of working in the UK rail industry with good working knowledge of Network Rail GRIP / PACE process / standards and approval processes.
Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising planners, designers, engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.
Able to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
Proven ability to write accurate, clear, high-quality reports.
Ability to manage project teams & project &/or project tasks.
Ability to respond to Project Manager and Client requests and meet challenging deadlines.
Experience in some of the follolwing areas of station design, line side civils, bridge design/inspection and assessment, retaining walls, gantry and foundation designs.
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
Chartership
Working knowledge of the relevant legislation and guidelinesThe consultancy has a very flexible approach, with hybrid working available.
The salary on offer is £65,000-£70,000.
