Structural Engineer
Location: East Sussex
Salary: 30k - 45k dependent on experience
Emtech are working with a Civil & Structural Consultancy with 50 staff across two offices who are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team. The office near Crawley has 30 people and within that a structural engineering team of 15-20 people which works alongside the Civil Engineering team of 10. In London that have another 20 Civil & Structural Engineers based there.
They are currently looking for someone with 1-5 years experience in in building structures projects. They work on a wide range of schemes across education, commercial, industrial, retail, leisure facilities, high rise apartment schemes and residential so any experience in these areas would be useful. On offer is hybrid working and the chance to take on your own projects and progress within the business as part of a growing team.
There is full Chartership support in place with Chartered Structural Engineers in the team. They also have a number of younger engineers & technicians who make quite a social team.
Key Responsibilities:
1-5 years experience in structural design across a range of building projects
Working under the supervision of a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer in the production of schematic/concept designs and structural design calculations within defined project timescales
Liaising with other construction professionals in the development of designs
Undertaking structural designs using ROBOT or TEKLA and by hand as required
Directing technicians in the production of AutoCAD and REVIT drawing information undertaking and quality reviews of drawn information prior to issue
Responsible for the analysis and design of building structures, progressing to overall design of structures.
Ability to produce drawings using Autocad software
Visiting sites and attending site meetings
Involvement in internal project design
Attend external design meetings with clients and other design team
