CHIEF BUILDING INSPECTOR

CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH, CA

Annual Salary: $101,964.00 - $143,448.00 DOQ

Under direction of the Building Official, supervises, assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of staff involved in the multi-disciplined inspection of a wide range of building construction projects including inspections for compliance with applicable structural, electrical, mechanical, green, energy and plumbing codes; ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; and performs technical and complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Requires a BA/BS in a work-related field and a minimum of seven years in building inspection work including three years as a supervisor. CA driver's license, Certified Combination Inspector or Certified Inspector in all major disciplines, and International Code Council Certification as a building inspector is also required.
