Introduction

Astute are exclusively partnered with a global O&M Servicing Provider who are looking to expand many of their servicing teams across the UK and are seeking a new Authorising Engineer to join their business. The main purpose of the role will be providing technical support and advice on WTSR, specific to Gamesa technologies.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working on Gamesa wind turbines to the highest technical and safety standards and in-depth technical knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules.

Roles & Responsibilities
As the Authorising Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Preparation and co-ordination of all related paperwork, ensuring this is completed correctly and on-time.
Acting as part of the technical safety team by providing support and advice on WTSR.
Providing technical support to all field technicians, inclusive of being part of authorisation panels.
Liaise with Supervisors/Managers to organise second and third level support tasks.
Complete fault-finding and assist with complex repair processes alongside the Technical Lead.
Deliver basic electrical/hydraulic training course to technicians.
Taking ownership of producing safety documentation, including AWPs and RAMS.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Bachelor's degree or Higher Education in a relevant subject
A minimum of 3 years' experience working on Gamesa turbines/technical products
Strong understanding of WTSR
Health & safety knowledge and awareness
Knowledge of system design expanding technical knowledge
