My Somerset based client manufacture, supply and deliver a range of high quality precast concrete products for various markets including civil engineering, structures and agricultural.
As a specialist in their field, they also offer a complete design and detailing package, which includes assistance in AIP applications with local authorities. This process can be managed from cradle to grave on a wide variety of contracts from small bespoke to major commercial projects throughout the UK.
They have established a reputation for excellence, as a result of their reliability and due to their full quality management system, they have been able to achieve the ISO9001 Accreditation. Their client base includes some of the biggest hitter within UK construction sector as well as local authorities.
Their success has enabled them to move to a new factory with plenty of room for growth.

The Role
As the successful candidate you will be joining a business who had previously outsourced their structural engineering function.
You will have responsibility for: -

completing the engineering calculations and feasibility studies
draughting of the required designs and scheme drawings.
implementing agreed conceptual design, design parameters and methods of analysis, including preparation of calculations.
attending project meetings as required and monitor site progress of contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Engineering Council accredited MEng, BEng (Hons) or BSc.
Chartered (or nearly Chartered) Engineer with ICE or IStructE.
CSCS card holder.
7 years Post Graduate Minimum.
Confident in handling and interpreting numerical data and information.
Report writing skills.
Desirable
