Civil Design Engineer - Drainage

First People Solutions is working with a successful Consulting Engineer in Glasgow who is looking for experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their growing drainage team. Our client is a well-established consultancy, with years of experience delivering quality service and has a clear vision for design & engineering innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the feasibility and pre-planning assessments of engineering infrastructure
  • Assist in the design of drainage for access roads, residential and commercial development schemes
  • Ensure documents, designs and drawings are consistently high in quality and compliance with design standards, industry best practice, and client expectations
  • Assist in the communication with clients, regulators and other stakeholders, and preparation of bids and proposals
  • Attendance at design meetings
  • Work alongside engineering teams and associated consulting engineers

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3 years post qualification experience
  • Good working knowledge and experience in Drainage design engineering - Flood Risk, SuDS, etc
  • Experienced working on residential and commercial projects is desirable but would consider experience working on drainage for highways schemes
  • Skilled in Microdrainage and Civil 3D
  • Full clean driving license
