The role, based in Sheffield, will see you:

Embarking on structural design for steel frame, concrete frame, portal frame and traditional domestic structures
Using software to assist with calculations and structural design such as MasterSeries, CSC Fastrak and Strand7
Preparing, detailing and reviewing drawings of the systems designed
Preparing design quotes and writing reports
Supervising, as well as checking and signing off work
Coordinating with engineers in other various disciplines such as Geotechnical and Civil engineering
Attending meetings to build relationships and gain valuable information from clients, discussing their needs, requirements and any design issuesYou

Ideally, my client is looking for a Structural Engineer to have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil/Structural engineering (or equivalent), and be Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
