Astute are proudly partnered with a leader in renewable energy who have a global portfolio of over 20GW of assets. We're looking for a Grid Portfolio Engineer / Grid Services Engineer to join the team to take the lead on developing and executing a strategy of delivering grid services to their clients across their vast portfolio.

This is a newly created position and we're looking or someone innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic. This is your chance to take real ownership of a key position within the business that has been newly created.

Roles & Responsibilities
As the Grid Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Developing and standardising the UK and Ireland Grid strategy, leading the client facing grid related initiatives across their portfolio
Promoting Grid services to clients and ensuring the client is maximising potential revenues from these workstreams, with a focus on key accounts
Monitoring any changes to Grid regulation, policies and ancillary services. Typical areas of interest will include, as a minimum, grid charging, NGESO pathfinder tenders, NGESO ancillary service procurement, DS3 services and DSO services.
Providing a Monthly Grid Strategy report to the Asset Management Team
Understanding and interpreting client needs, clearly communicating client goals to internal and external stakeholders
Coordinating full cycle delivery of Grid related services and one-off projects on behalf of clients
Assisting with technical grid connection agreement or grid compliance queries
Ensuring all Grid related activity is linked back to the client specific Value Enhancement Plans
Identifying additional Grid Services?which could be delivered as?chargeable services and manage these services to completion using existing resource.A full job spec is available upon request.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

A degree or higher education in Electrical Engineering or a relevant Business/Commercial discipline
Ideally, knowledge of wind turbines, MW scale solar assets and BESS
Experience in the Renewable Energy sector is hugely desirable
A UK driving licence
Commercial acumen and an appreciation for cost and risk mitigation
Grid knowledge and Grid services is key
Salary & Package
What's on offer for this exciting role:

Salary up to £60,000

Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 at home)
Able to work from any of the company's offices, countrywide (I would welcome applications from those who have to be fully remote, but please be aware that the preference is hybrid working)
