We are currently looking for a Senior Civil & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team based at our offices in either Brighton or Ashford. You will join a vibrant team and work on prestigious projects within across the Southeast.
Whilst predominantly based in the Southeast, the role will include regular co-operation and inter-office working with other regional teams.

We recognise our greatest strength is the people we employ, and we are committed to developing talent and providing staff with the skills and knowledge they need to not only do their job well now, but to equip them for life as their careers unfold. Our staff say our people and our diversity are our biggest strengths and our Equality and Inclusion Group and Women's Network are ensuring that inclusion is at the heart of our policies, processes, and practices. As standard we offer flexible working to everyone and the ability to work remotely when needed. Project Centre is a people focused organisation. • Brighton & Hove City Council
  • Crawley Borough Council
  • Worthing Borough Council
  • Arun District Council
  • Worthing BC
  • Surrey Heath BC
as well as design and build schemes with national and local contractors.

You will work on a range of infrastructure projects bringing real change to our communities by providing new Public Realm improvements, vital transport links and delivering access to jobs and driving social value through the wider benefits of our projects.

Here are just a few examples of the recent successes of our team:
  • Herne Relief Road - KCC
  • Dartford High St Regeneration - KCC
  • Portland Rd Public Realm Improvement - WBC
  • Valley Gardens Phase 1 & 2 - BHCC
  • Queensway Regeneration - CBC
  • Littlehampton High St Regeneration D&B - ADC
  • Camberley High St Regeneration - SHBC

If you aspire to really making a difference and want to work with great colleagues whilst advancing your career, then Project Centre could be the place for you.

The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate qualification and good experience in the following areas:
  • Educated to a minimum Degree level in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
  • Progression towards Chartered Engineer status with relevant professional institution
  • Previous experience of working on UK public sector highways / infrastructure projects.

  • An understanding of service utilities, drainage and external works design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare reports on technical matters
  • Experience of using Digital Design Tools for production of deliverables (eg AutoCAD, MicroDrainage & Civils 3D or equivalents).
