Geotechnical Engineer

Nationwide consultancy requires a Geotechnical Engineer to work under the directors within this well-established office situated in the Northampton area. You will have the chance to get involved in all aspects of the project including technical, financial and commercial.

Once feet are under the table, you will be required to manage complex Geotechnical projects from GI through to build stages. This will include the design, implementation and supervision of ground investigations, conceptual site models, writing interpretive reports. You will also gain exposure within geotechnical interpretation and design for building developments.

Currently as a Geotechnical Engineer, you must be able to demonstrate project management and delivery of a range of brownfield developments on a Geotechnical basis. Produce phase 1 desk top studies, design and manage site investigation activities (Inc Trial Pitting, Gas Monitoring etc. It is essential that you can comfortably write high quality Geo-Environmental and/or Geotechnical interpretive reports and ideally risk assessment.

The ideal Geotechnical Engineer candidate will have:

Degree in a relevant Geology/Civil Engineering discipline and have obtained an MSc
At least 3 years of Geotechnical consultancy experience
Proven track record in geo environmental work and experience across a range of projects, ideally gained within a consulting environment
Experience of planning, managing, supervising and interpreting ground investigation data, in relation to contamination aspects
UK Driving licence
