Crane Engineer - Energy from Waste
South East England

Introduction…
We are looking for a Crane Engineer, a specialist in material handling equipment, to join an Energy from Waste plant located in the South East of England. This role will be involved with the development & implementation of the maintenance strategy for all cranes & material handling equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Developing & implementing the long term maintenance strategy for material handling equipment including cranes.
Lead and plan modernisation projects.
Organise and lead major overhauls on plant & equipment.
Support the wider Engineering team with outage planning.
Act as the sites technical expert.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Time served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering field
Ideally degree qualified but would also welcome HNC/ONC/HND qualifications
Experience across electrical, mechanical and control systems (PLC's, controllers, inverters etc)
Extensive experience working on cranes (ash cranes, tower cranes, waste cranes, grabbers etc) including fault finding, overhauls and long term maintenance plans
Experience working on a CMMS to plan maintenance work
