We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join one of the world's most prestigious and major names in multi-disciplinary engineering services and play a leading role in their ground engineering input.
The Infrastructure Division in their Birmingham office cover all aspects of multidisciplinary design and management from inception to detailed scheme design and delivery support and the successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will support them with their impressive portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects.
Applicants will have strong technical credentials and a particular focus in advanced geotechnical analysis and offshore geotechnics to support their increasing workload in the UK and globally.
Requirements:
A relevant degree (engineering or geology),
A Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership,
A minimum of 2 years' post Chartered experience as either a geologist or civil engineer,
Proven experience of working in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment,.
Project management - Experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management,
Proven geotechnical design experience,
Experience in general numerical software such as Geostudio, Repute, Wallap etc.
Application of CDM Regulations in a design and ground investigation environment,
Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and lead geotechnical design teams,
Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients,
Good commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs,
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work,
A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas,
A valid UK driving licence. The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be rewarded with a competitive salary, generous benefits package and a varied, challenging role.
