Technical Engineer - Civil Engineering (HIGHWAYS MATERIALS) - Leeds, West Yorkshire (with option of hybrid/homeworking 2-3 days per week)

A new vacancy for a Technical Engineer (HIGHWAYS MATERIALS) with leading international provider of specialist services to the Construction industry. Reporting in to the company's offices in Leeds, West Yorkshire, the Technical Engineer (HIGHWAYS MATERIALS) will be responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting assessments on a wide range of construction products & systems relating to Highways SURFACING, TREATMENT and REPAIR.

You will also be involved in preparing contract offers and estimates for the assessment of these products and systems. The job holder will be required to research and investigate aspects of construction product/system performance, working as part of a team of specialists and contributing to team and individual targets & objectives. Candidates with an understanding of the processes involved the development, testing and/or certification of Highways products will be of particular interest.

Key candidate requirements:

- Good understanding of HIGHWAYS MATERIALS (esp surfacing, treatment & repair products and systems).
- Knowledge of relevant building regulations & standards.
- Experience working with construction products & systems.
- Minimum HNC/HND with in-depth understanding of relevant engineering or science discipline
