We are working with a Medium-Sized multidisciplinary Consultancy that are looking to expand their Structural team, they are located conveniently in Didcot - Oxfordshire. They are looking for a Principal/Associate Structural Engineer to join the current team of ten Engineers and Technicians at the office, but are flexible with hybrid working. The team work on a variety of large and small projects in a range of sectors with other in-office teams to deliver Structural and Civil Engineering, Traffic, Transport Engineering, Building Surveying and Geomatics. The team you would be joining has a supportive team culture with a flow of exciting projects to work on, this would be a great opportunity for career development with constant technical learning. The Responsibilities include:
* Preparing structural designs in all conventional materials and experience in refurbishment projects.
* Taking a global view of structural design on a project, identifying potential problems and solutions and providing advice to client on design options
* Prepare technical details for Architectural design and prepare technical specifications
* Liaise and attend meetings with Shareholders
* Outline the brief, visit the site and review information including planning history and services.
* Leading project teams, supervising and training engineers and technicians
* Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects.
* Good written & spoken English
The candidates skills & experience should include;
* Minimum qualification - degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* Chartered, or working towards Chartered status
* Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience in relevant structural design
* The ability to work collaboratively in a team
* Good commercial awareness
