This position will work on building projects across most market sectors including single family residences, multi-story hotels and higher education buildings with structural systems composed of steel, wood, masonry and concrete. This work will include new buildings as well as the renovation and adaptive reuse of existing buildings. Responsibilities for this position will include all aspects of structural design and construction administration, including analysis, document creation, client coordination and site observations. The position expectations will include managing the structural design of small to large projects, client coordination for small to medium projects and client management for small projects.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structures 4+ years of experience in the structural engineering of buildings and related structures Engineer in Training (EIT) certification with the intent to obtain a PE/SE Strong understanding of major design codes including IBC, ASCE7, AISC 360, ACI 318, NDS, TMS402/602 An entrepreneurial energy with an eagerness to both lead and support
- Passed the SE Exam Licensed in Virginia Familiarity with Tedds, RAM and Revit A portfolio of project experience that includes a wide range of building and material types
