EXPERIENCED GRADUATE CIVIL / INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - BIRMINGHAM

Fabulous opportunity for an experienced Graduate Civil Engineer to join one of the largest privately owned Engineering Consultancy's in the UK. Due to a healthy forward workload, they seek a Graduate Civil / Infrastructure Engineer, with post graduate design experience, for their Birmingham office; a team very much focused on the delivery of civil infrastructure and structural engineering design schemes for the built environment.

This role is ideally suited to a someone who has gained possibly a minimum of 12 months experience in infrastructure design of roads, drainage, earthworks, ground works etc. for building development projects who is looking to further progress with their career in a supportive and progressive role.

The Role:

To be an integral part of the Civil's Team working on a variety of projects spanning commercial, retail and residential sectors.
All graduate engineers work under direct supervision of a highly experienced team of dedicated engineers.
ICE approved training agreement and a route towards chartered membership of a professional engineering institution.
Depending on experience as you progress you can expect to be active on a number of projects and with a number of Clients at any given time.Duties:

Design of infrastructure for commercial, retail and residential projects
Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage
Design of Highways and drainage including SuDS for infrastructure, residential and commercial projects
Obtaining statutory approvals
Ad hoc projects including hydro feasibilities, reservoir maintenance and upgrade works, MOD training facilities, HS2 enabling works etc.
Liaison with statutory bodies such as Lead Local Flood Authorities, Water and Highway Authorities and the Environment Agency
Opportunity to be involved in structural design if interestedSkills:

Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD
PDS / Civils 3D / Micro Drainage preferable but not essential
Good communication skills - verbal and written
Good level of report writing
Self-motivated with an enquiring mind and good initiative
Good team player
Willing to attend design meetings, site meetings and carryout site inspections.
Liaise and communicate clearly in a professional manner to colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers and to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to your work.
Work on projects with consideration to the agreed project budgetary limits and time tables.Benefits:
