Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Principal Structural Engineer to join their successful Edinburgh office on a permanent basis.
This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the UK's largest privately owned engineering consultancies as they capitalise on a period of several large projects wins.
As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead active projects across commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors ranging from the small bespoke to large scale developments.
In addition, you will;
Prepare site appraisals and pre-planning assessments
Manage and review reports, designs and drawings that have been completely by the wider team
Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders
Attend design meetings
Contribute to business development through networking and preparation of bids
Deliver work in compliance with health and safety
Project management, team management and budgetary control
PRINCIPAL STRUCUTRAL ENGINEER PROFILE
Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
Chartered status (MICE or IstructE)
SER certifier status provide a distinct advantage
Excellent working knowledge of building structures and infrastructure design at concept, feasibility, and preliminary level
Strong understanding of policy and design standards
ON OFFER
£45,000 - £55,000 Per annum
31 days annual leave (plus extra 3 days taken over festive period)
