Our client has an immediate vacancy for a senior civil engineer to work within our experienced Leicester civil engineering design team.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Civil Engineer Leicester role will involve the design and drafting of SuDS schemes, private externals works, Section 38 and Section 104 works for adoption.
The role will also include the design and drafting of civil engineering works for a variety of sectors.
Designs range from multi-storey structures to small housing schemes and range in construction value from £250,000 to £30M.
Many projects are undertaken to BIM level 2.
The team works for clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom.
We design SuDS drainage schemes and highway works using Microdrainage and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD.

Experience:
The role would suit a senior civil engineer with three to five years experience.
The successful candidate will be given on the job training to develop their skills and they will work closely with the other members of the civil engineering team.
Client care is of paramount importance to us as a company and the successful candidate will be an able communicator, both in written English and verbally, in person and on the telephone.
Knowledge of the construction industry and basic health and safety is essential.
A logical analytical approach to problem solving should be demonstrated.
Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will need to be demonstrated at interview.

Education
A strong background of English, Mathematics and a logical analytical approach to problem solving should be demonstrated.
The successful candidate will be qualified as noted above, computer literate, being fully competent in the use of Word and Excel.

Location: Leicester
Hours of work: A minimum of 37.5 hours per week, core hours are 9am until 4pm, Monday to Friday where staff are required to be at work.
Holidays: Allowance is in line with industry standard and is subject to relevant experience.
