The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering anticipates hiring one full-time Associate Professor in the area of geotechnical engineering to begin late June 2023. We seek a passionate professional with a desire to inspire, educate and develop cadets. USAFA is an undergraduate-only institution focused on educating and commissioning officers in the Air and Space Forces. The successful candidate will teach cadets in undergraduate geotechnical and other civil engineering courses, initiate and conduct a program of research in a field of specialization that contributes to the body of knowledge, engage in scholarly and professional activities to maintain academic currency in the area of specialization, guide the development of curriculum, instructional technology applications, and research activities, incorporate teaching concepts, mentoring methods, means of enhancing cadets' learning experiences, and educational strategies and techniques with fellow instructors, and serve as an academic advisor to Civil Engineering majors.

Requirements: U. S. citizenship is required. A doctoral degree in civil engineering or a related discipline. The selected candidate must successfully complete a background investigation.
