Civil Project Engineer
Summary
The Civil Project Engineer provides project support starting at the preliminary due diligence stages and continuing through the design and permitting process. The development research and civil design team draw upon multiple disciplines to balance the needs of our clients and partners through the development process. We have a broad range of exciting project types for public, private, and institutional clients including retail, early education, life sciences, office, and industrial uses. We work throughout Florida and in selected locations across the southern and eastern United States.
Required Education and Experience
● BS in Civil Engineering
● Licensed Professional Engineer
● Experience with site planning and development, stormwater design, and utility design
● AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
● Stormwater modeling experience
Job Responsibilities
● Prepares or directs the team in the preparation of construction plans, calculations, cost estimates, reports, permit applications, and specifications for the project
● Perform design calculations
● Administer project submittals and coordinate with various regulatory agencies throughout the permitting process
● Attendance of external meetings
● Managing project teams and communicating with team members, clients, and agencies
● Work with all parent company divisions including real estate, title, architectural, and construction to identify essential elements for successful project completion
● Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
● Ability to present projects in a public meeting format
● Ability to successfully manage cross-functional relationships while ensuring accountability for deadlines and commitments
● Maintain a positive and productive work attitude and a team-orientated mindset
● Ability to maintain good relations with employees, supervisors, governmental agencies, and clients
