Civil Structural Design Engineer (PE)

We are currently seeking Structural Engineering Design Professionals to join our team.  As a Structural Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis, design tasks and engineering modeling assignments for a variety of steel utility poles, sizes and materials as well as assisting project teams on assignments ranging from conceptual design to final construction documentation.

• Designs structures for transmission and distribution projects using the PLS POLE Program to analyze and optimize steel structures. Review customer drawings and considering loads on the structure according to customer specification and ASCE code. Works closely as a member of one or more project teams and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.  Performs all work in a clear, complete, and accurate manner. Implement and utilize PLS Poles and PLS CADD. Actively seeks new knowledge related to structural engineering practices, principles and regulation changes. Ability to communicate effectively with customers via phone and e-mail. Bilingual (English – Spanish) a Plus. Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time.
• BS in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in the steel structural industry. Experience in structural design. PLS Poles and PLS CADD. PE certifications a plus.
