Civil Engineer - Associate

Placer County's Department of Public Works is currently accepting applications for two Associate Civil Engineer vacancies within the Engineering and Transportation Planning divisions.

The Engineering Division is responsible for the design and construction of capital improvement projects on the western slope of Placer County. The Transportation Planning Division is responsible for long range transportation planning, traffic safety, transportation funding and fee programs, as well as regional coordination. This division also reviews land development projects for consistency with applicable transportation goals and policies, as well as compliance with CEQA. Ideal candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the motivation to improve the communities of Placer County.

Experience: Two years of responsible professional engineering experience performing duties similar to an Assistant Engineer with Placer County.

Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
