Reco Energy is a leading renewable energy installer in the South West with over 35 years of experience in the energy sector. We are seeking an experienced Plumber / Heating Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our team in the Devon & Cornwall area.

Great benefits including flexitime and paid overtime.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Renewable Energy installer based in Kelly Bray, Cornwall. We cover all of Devon and Cornwall, although most of our work is within a 30-mile catchment area from the office.

About Us

We have a combined experience in the energy sector of +35 years installing high quality renewable energy systems. We are a forward thinking, highly knowledgeable team looking for other energy professionals to join us on our mission to meet the unprecedented demand in the renewable energy sector. We take pride in what we do and strive to give our customers the best possible service whilst installing high quality, affordable renewable energy systems.

Our approach is totally different than most in the industry which shines through when speaking to our happy customers and staff. From first contact to commissioning day the process is efficient and streamlined:
  • An in depth heat loss assessment is carried out by our knowledgeable surveyors with our purpose built app that links to a bluetooth laser measurer.
  • The app generates a quotation and provides a parts specification. Customers are presented with honest, in-depth information and fully understand what is involved before going ahead..
  • We conduct site visits with the heating engineer (this role) to go through all details which are then confirmed in a specification and floor plan for the installation team to refer to.
  • Once the customer agrees to go ahead all parts are ordered by the office team and held in our unit
  • On the first day of installation the install team heads straight to site, all parts are delivered by our in house delivery team later that day. Any parts needed throughout the installation can be collected from our unit, parts are scanned out and automatically reordered.
  • On commissioning day all certificates are filled out digitally on a tablet.

  • Our focus is to structure the business in a way that ensures you can get on with what you do best, installing high class heating systems without unnecessary phone calls, supplier visits and paperwork getting in your way!

As a Reco Energy employee your input is valuable, we work collaboratively to overcome problems and improve quality. We believe that all our engineers should have access to the best training available, we provide in-house training, manufacturer product training and will be putting all engineers through the Heat Geek Mastery course in the new year.

We have a fun and friendly team and hold regular social events including meals out, breakfasts, work drinks and BBQs at the office. We work hard on-site but promote a fun working environment - many of our customers comment on how much we all enjoy what we do.

There is scope to work flexibly, such as a 4 day working week. Overtime is available but not expected, we understand the importance of a work-life balance.

There is currently an unprecedented demand for Heat Pumps across the South West which is set to grow in the coming years due to government incentives and rising energy bills, there has never been a better time to join the renewables industry. Reco Energy intends to be at the forefront of this growing sector whilst maintaining an enjoyable and rewarding place to work.
