We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Engineer based at our state-of-the-art facility near Coventry or our Liverpool offices based within the Liverpool Science Park.

You will focus on the technical delivery of projects and support the development of project related activities across The MTC, working across various technology departments and industrial sectors. With experience in a project related role in the construction industry, you will ensure that the work completed meets the customer requirements, adhering to the agreed budgets and timescales. You will be expected to undertake innovative Engineering research work focused primarily on technology/manufacturing readiness levels (TRL/MRL) 3+, and demonstrate industrial project delivery including concept generation, detailed design whilst ensuring that we meet all compliance and quality standards.

Educated to degree level or equivalent within Civil Engineering, you will have gained strong relevant industry experience and will be accustomed to managing construction projects through RIBA stages of work and will have and will have experience of undertaking design for construction in a specific discipline e.g. Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Foundation Design or other.You will be Construction Design Management (CDM) proficient and will have demonstrable experience of conducting engineering analysis within construction, such as structural analysis or building performance evaluation. With experience in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), you will have strong knowledge of working to construction industry standards including BOPAS, BSI or SCI. You will have a successful background of leading and mentoring multi-disciplined teams and individuals to achieve the set project deadlines.
